Nearby – Somewhere on Earth - A Walk in the Mountain Land

Don't get confused by the title.

This isn't about travelling to some faraway place on Earth.

It was just a walk somewhere near my hometown, through land in the mountains, with my brother and cousin.

Sometimes, the best adventures are not planned at all.

An Unexpected Morning Plan

It was an early morning, around 8:00 AM.

My cousin brother suddenly asked me,

"Would you like to come with us to our mountain land?"

That was enough.

My mind immediately said yes.

My brother and I told him that we were coming along. We had stayed at my cousin's house the previous day, and luckily, he had already planned to visit the land.

They visit the place only occasionally, so we knew this was a good opportunity to join them.

The land is spread across a large mountain area and is filled with cashew trees, tamarind trees, palm trees, coconut trees and, most importantly, mango trees.

And there are plenty of mango varieties.

For someone who loves nature and enjoys exploring, that was already a pretty good reason to go.

The Journey Into the Mountains

We started our journey and eventually reached the mountain region after a long ride.

The journey itself was beautiful.

The cool mountain air, green surroundings and changing scenery made us forget that we were travelling for quite some time.

And then came the monkeys.

We could see them along the way, adding a little bit of unexpected entertainment to the journey.

Once we reached the area, the real adventure started.

We had to walk uphill for quite a distance to reach the land.

Honestly, it was tiring.

But after walking all that way, we finally reached the top.

And suddenly, it felt completely worth it.

Walking Into Nature

The surroundings were incredibly peaceful.

We could hear birds calling from different directions. We noticed animal footprints along the way, and the thick natural surroundings made it feel almost like walking through a small forest.

There were no city sounds.

No traffic.

No rush.

Just mountains, trees, birds and fresh air.

Standing there and looking around, I felt as if we had temporarily stepped away from our normal lives.

We were simply somewhere in the mountains, enjoying what nature had already created.

Mangoes, Cashews and Mountain Views

It was also cultivation season, so we spent some time collecting cashews and mangoes from the land.

The work was simple, but it made the visit even more enjoyable.

After spending some time there, we started our journey back.

Looking at the mountains, palm trees and wide-open landscapes along the way, I realised how easily we sometimes overlook the beautiful places that exist right next to us.

We don't always need an expensive holiday or a long-distance trip.

Sometimes, your own hometown has an adventure waiting for you.

An Unplanned Trip With Good Vibes

This was a completely unexpected trip with my cousin, my brother and his friends.

There was no complicated itinerary.

No reservations.

No detailed travel plan.

Just a simple question in the morning, a quick decision and a long walk into the mountains.

And somehow, that made it even better.

It is the cultivation time, we store cashews and mangoes and move from there after spending time there. Really a good trip with My Cousin and his friends. Unexpected trip will give good vibes.

Unexpected trips often create the memories we never planned for.

This little journey reminded me that adventure doesn't always mean going somewhere far away.

Sometimes, it is simply walking a few miles uphill, surrounded by mango trees, listening to birds and looking at the mountains.

Nearby. Somewhere on Earth. And completely worth remembering.
