Plan to Meet Her – An Untold Story
Some moments stay with us forever, no matter how many years pass. This is the story of one such moment—a memory that still makes me smile every time I think about it.
For years, I had imagined what it would be like to meet her. I pictured countless conversations in my mind and dreamed of gently holding her hand for the very first time. To me, it wasn't about romance alone—it was a simple gesture of care, respect, and the deep affection I felt for her.
Then came 15 August 2012.
It wasn't just India's Independence Day—it became one of the most unforgettable days of my life.
Our school was celebrating Independence Day, and we had quietly planned to meet for the first time. I reached the campus earlier than usual. The school grounds were calm, with only a few students arriving for the celebration. As I walked towards her classroom, my heart was racing.
A voice inside me kept saying, "What if this isn't a good idea?" But another voice, much stronger, reminded me that some moments are worth the risk.
During our school days, very few people knew about our relationship. It was a quiet chapter of our lives, shared only between us and a handful of close friends.
I was carrying a small gift in my hands. It wasn't expensive, but it meant everything to me.
When I reached her classroom, I paused at the entrance. I could see her inside.
She looked at me.
I looked at her.
For a brief moment, the entire world seemed to disappear.
She smiled shyly before lowering her eyes, and I stood there completely speechless. Every sentence I had rehearsed for years vanished from my mind. My heartbeat was louder than my thoughts.
I had planned to give her the gift, tell her how much she meant to me, and perhaps even hold her hand for the first time.
Instead, I quietly placed the gift on a nearby desk.
The only words I managed to say were,
"Be safe."
Then I turned around and walked away.
It wasn't the meeting I had imagined. It lasted only a few moments, yet those moments became unforgettable.
As I walked home later that day, I kept asking myself why I couldn't speak. Why couldn't I say everything I had carried in my heart for so long?
The answer was simple.
Sometimes love leaves us speechless.
Sometimes emotions are too deep for words.
Sometimes the presence of someone special is enough to make every carefully planned sentence disappear.
Although our first meeting felt incomplete, it filled my heart with a happiness I had never experienced before. Even though I never said the words aloud, my heart kept whispering them over and over again.
"I love you so much."
Looking back today, I don't remember the silence as a failure.
I remember it as one of the purest moments of my life—a memory of innocent young love, where a shy smile, a small gift, and two racing hearts said far more than words ever could.
