No Text, No Call, Just Silence — Waiting for Someone You Love

No text or call until now. I'm waiting eagerly.

No text.
No call.
Nothing.

And I'm still waiting.

I have checked my phone more times than I would like to admit. Every notification makes me look at the screen, hoping it is from her. But it isn't.

I've tried reaching out a few times too. Still, there is no response.

And honestly, this silence feels strange.

It isn't how things usually are between us. That's what makes it harder. When someone you are used to talking to suddenly becomes quiet, your mind starts creating its own stories.

Is everything okay?
What happened?
Why isn't she calling?
Did I do something wrong?

The questions keep coming, but there are no answers.

Sometimes, silence can be louder than words.

I miss her.

I want to see her, sit beside her, hold her hand and simply be there. At times like this, I realize how much a person's presence can mean. You don't necessarily need a long conversation or some grand romantic gesture. Sometimes, just having the person you love next to you is enough.

There is a strange kind of comfort in holding someone's hand.

It makes the world feel a little less heavy.

When life becomes difficult, having your life partner beside you can give you a kind of strength that is difficult to explain. You don't need them to solve every problem. Sometimes, knowing that someone is standing beside you is enough to make you believe that you can get through whatever is coming.

But life is bigger than just the two of us.

Family matters too.

The people who have been there through different stages of our lives become part of the foundation we stand on. Their love, their presence and sometimes even their difficult questions can keep us grounded when our emotions are all over the place.

Maybe that's why relationships need more than love.

They need patience.

They need understanding.

And above everything else, they need communication.

When something feels wrong, silence can easily turn a small misunderstanding into something much bigger. We start assuming instead of asking. We start imagining instead of understanding.

I've learned that sometimes the simplest thing is also the hardest:

Just talk.

Tell each other what hurts. Say what you are afraid of. Explain what you are feeling instead of expecting the other person to somehow understand it.

Because none of us can read another person's heart.

And right now, I'm still waiting.

Waiting for that message.

Waiting for that call.

Waiting to hear her voice again.

Maybe when that phone finally rings, I won't even know what to say.

Maybe I'll simply listen.

Because sometimes, after all the questions, all we really want is to know that the person we love is okay.

And perhaps that's what love does to us.

It makes a simple “Hello” feel like the most beautiful word in the world.
